Core features and technology:

All TK stairlifts include a range of standard and optional features for safety and user experience.

  • Battery backup: Ensures the lift operates during a power outage.

  • Safety sensors: Automatically stop the lift if they encounter an obstruction on the staircase.

  • Swivel seat: A powered or manual swivel seat is available for safe and easy boarding and exiting.

  • Remote controls: Two remote controls allow the user to call and send the lift.

  • Foldable design: The seat, footrest, and armrests fold away to keep the stairway clear.

  • Customization: Options for different colors and upholstery materials, including leather.

Customer experience and reputation:

TK Home Solutions is generally well-regarded for its engineering and product quality, though some customer service reviews are mixed.

  • Customer feedback: Reviews often highlight the smoothness of the ride, durability, and customization options.

  • Areas for improvement: Some customers have reported issues with delays in installation and service.

  • Product testing: Customers can visit the company's experience center in Stockton-on-Tees, UK, to try out the stairlifts before making a decision.

  • Reconditioned options: Older models, such as the HomeGlide and Flow 2, are readily available as reconditioned units from dealers.

Cost:

TK stairlifts are typically priced competitively within the mid-to-high range, with prices varying significantly based on the model and staircase complexity.

  • Straight stairlifts: New straight models, like the HomeGlide, can be more affordable.

  • Curved stairlifts: Custom-made curved rails for models like the S200 increase the price.

  • Reconditioned lifts: Older and reconditioned models are available at a lower cost.
